The week that was... & the week ahead
My excuses for not blogging:
1. Lazy
2. Driving lessons after work - 4 times a week
3. After-driving-lesson Run - desperate, last min attempt to get into shape for Jade Mt
4. Family Vacation research - the decent infor are all in chinese. Loads of effort required for this task!
5. Mom's bday over the weekend - went down south to Tainan where the weather was HOT

Wasted Sat
Cycling trip was cancelled due to the rain so went back home after my "wild" driving lesson.
Decided to go gym & run.
- Went gym & it was locked %#!$!^*#%!(&*(!!*#!^$!!
- Went to look for security & he was on "petrol" %#!$!^*#%!(&*(!!*
- Went back gym... still no one around to help me %#!$!^*#%!(&*(!
- Debate whether or not to climb stairs instead.
Decided not to because:
1. Stairway damn stuffy
2. Stairway door locks automatically when closed. So I have to open the one on my floor & make sure it stays open.
3. Stupid nosy Neighbour CLOSED the stairway door once while I was still inside %#!$!^*#%!(&*(!!*#!^$!! and I had to shout to get it opened. Neighbour gave me strange look when she opened the door & asked me "why are u climbing stairs" errrr Because there is a ghost in the lift & I scared can? Dimwit.
- So got into the elevator to go back apartment.
- Then elevator spoke "Miss arh u want to use gym??"
- It was the security. "go wait at 6th floor we unlock for u." so they watch us??..
- Gym unlocked. Tried 1st treadmill. Doesn't work
- Tried 2nd treadmill. Worked. Started running for 30secs. Decided that treadmill is wobbily, NOT because I am heavy.
They ARE of inferior quality.
I am spoilt by the Fitness First & the Agilent Gyms
- Decided to try stairmaster. It made a annoying squeaking noise when I step. Irritated.
- Gave up. And all the efforts of trying to exercise made me hungry.
- Think will just do my Beauty Diary regime today & forget about being fit

Driving in the wild
Rainy morning. Woke up at 6am to go for my 1st real live outdoor driving, under supervision of course. The entire route took us 3hrs to & back. I get to drive for 45mins while another student observe, then we switch.
It rained pretty heavily while we drove & the instructor commented: "Wah good! Now u experience driving in the rain, driving in good weather will be a piece of cake!"
The scariest part
(Sub-urban)City aka the wild. Drivers in this part of Taiwan are notorious. Traffic laws are not so strictly enforced compared to big cities like Taipei hence drivers here tend to disregard traffic regulations:
- They stop abruptly without warning (to buy betal nuts!)
- Signals right & happily turns left
- U turns whenever & where ever they like
- Drive at WELL ABOVE speed limits, forcing me to do the same (until my instructor told me to slow down...)
But after freaking out for the 1st 20mins (with an amused instructor beside me & a very nervous fellow student in the back seat) I got the hang of it. My driver say I steady ok... & I also think I'm much better then the other student hee
Best Part
The instructor took us on a detour to drive on some narrow roads alongside rice padis! The roads there are winding & have no traffic. Very relaxing drive.
10 more days to my driving test.

Nono: 1st in the fambly to turn 30! Don't worry, u are still chio! Your hair looks great! Your skin still look like baby's bottom, in a good way! (mostly likely coz u grew fat, so skin become nicer... just like me heeheehee). I can't see your butt so I can not lie & say: Cannot tell that you gained weight!!!

My Beauty Diary
My Beauty Diary aka 我的美麗日記 is the name of my new favourite mask.
Emily told me it is the BEST low cost mask in the market according to some beauty mag research. So I gave it a try. Now I'm hooked!
What I bought:
Red Wine: Anti-oxident; helps with firming & gives radiance.
White Pearl Powder: Whitening (what else?!)
Sake Yeast (Pitera?): If you want crystal-clear & flawlessly radiant skin.
Rice-peptides: For bounce & skin cell repair
Q10 Rice something: To rejuvenate & helps skin cells renewal.
Black Pearl: Lagi more powerful whitening
Aloe Vera: Hydration
What I bought:

Maokong at last
My aunt stays in Beitou, as the name implies, it the most northern part of Taipei.
My cousin goes to uni in the southern most part of Taipei, near to Maokong.
Its a bit like staying in Woodlands & going to school in Vivo.
Over the weekend, while mom was here, my cousin took us to visit her uni & tour maokong at the same time.
Trivia: Why is Maokong call Maokong (貓空）?
In dialect "mao mao kang kang" means a lot of holes. The landscape around Maokong is very hilly & hence very uneven. So in the old days, they describe the area is very "mao mao kang kang"... When translated to Mandarin it became Mao Mao Kong Kong hence the name Mao Kong.

My mom will be in Taiwan for 2 WHOLE MONTHS... Thankfully she will be spending most of her time in Tainan. I love her to bits but 2 months of her alone will be way too much...
I haven't seen mom for over a mth & she lost quite a lot of weight! She looks great! Now I'm really the FAT one in the family...

Bonding with the aunties
Took a day's leave on Fri & planned a TaiTai's outing for my mum & Little Auntie.
They drove me crazy on many many occasions, but I had fun anyway.
Just don't make me do it too often.
