Took High Speed Rail (HSR) from Taoyuan to Tainan. It was a 20min drive from UCL to the Taoyuan HSR station. My Taipei uncle drove me to the station. 1 Hr 15 mins later I arrived in Tainan (Dist is about Spore to KL). Just as I arrived, my uncle called me
Uncle: You in Tainan already?
Fatcat: Yes! In Jiu Jiu's car now. So cold here as well!
Uncle: Guess what, I just got home too...
Fatcat: WAH!!! (Taoyuan to Taipei is like Spore to JB...)
I have to gush about the HSR even thou I took it before. Imagine getting from Spore to KL in 1 hr 15mins... cool isn't it?! And it's not THAT expensive. 2 way ticket costs SGD120, which is the same price we would have paid for a luxury coach to KL. And the high speed rail is WAY more comfy. Not as good as the ICE but it's one of the better trains I took. If only the HSR stations weren't such ulu locations...
